I am the most fascinating person I know. Maybe that's because I'm a hermit in training. Or a narcissist (I'm not). Or a one-in-a-billion fascinating person. But probably it's due to the fact that I know myself better than I know anyone else. And that's not unusual, I suppose. When I write about the workings of my mind, I am often confounded by intricacies of which I'm not aware until I start writing. Conflicts and contradictions become clear. I'm told that people often identify similar mental contortions, but they'd never admit to such things!
